Veterinary Assistant
Crysler Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Experienced Vet Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. What to Expect

$16-$18/hr based on experience and skill set.
Schedule:
Full-time hours at 30-38 per week. Will work Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeriesHandle and restrain animals safely and compassionatelyPrepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfacesPerform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samplesAdminister medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarianFeed, bathe, and exercise animals as neededMaintain accurate medical recordsCommunicate with pet owners about their pets' care, treatment plans, and follow-up visitsClean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environmentQualifications:
Must have 3+ years of Veterinary Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting.Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

In addition to diagnostic and preventative services, our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, dental radiography, in-house labs, CO2 laser, and ultrasound. We also offer exotic care and veterinary behavior consulting.
