Overview:
Panasonic North America is looking for a talented Risk Manager to join the Panasonic Risk Management Department. An ideal candidate has a career focus in solving real business problems working in cross functional diverse teams. Along with a record of outstanding achievement, an ideal candidate would possess demonstrable functional knowledge in Risk Management and Insurance.Responsibilities:What You'll Get To Do:Risk Manager is responsible for managing the day to day management, operations and service delivery of Panasonic Corporation of North Americas Insurance Program. This role requires the unique ability to work directly with stakeholders while having strong technical skills combined with functional knowledge.Panasonic Corporation of North Americas Risk Management is responsible for managing insurance program for over 50 Panasonic companies including its divisions and subsidiaries located in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.Risk ManagementOverall management of entire Panasonic North America Insurance and Risk Transfer ProgramManage data collection across the organization and perform analysis of risk exposures while supporting Senior Risk Manager and head of Risk Management with developing risk management solutions.Researching new insurance and risk transfer productsSupports negotiation strategy development and execution of annual renewal processConduct contract review and recommend necessary changes to protect company.Prepares necessary reports for head of Risk Management including company claims report and premium summaries.Verify premium charges and allocate to appropriate operating company, business unit, etc.Provide Risk Management guidance to our internal stakeholdersManagement and issuance of certificate of insurance and auto ID card requestsRisk Management DepartmentAnnual Budget and Allocation PreparationMonthly Budget and Actual Review and AnalysisPerform other necessary support functions for department.Maintain Department Risk Management Information SystemClaims ManagementResearch and support claim reporting and settlementsOversees third party claim administratorsManagement and development of claims reporting proceduresPrepares necessary reports for Senior Risk Manager and head of Risk Management, i.e. Claim Trend Analysis, Expense Analysis, etc.Safety, Loss Control and Fire Protection Program SupportReviews and Process Loss Control Reports, providing updates on necessary recommendation to company managementAssist in deciding when Special Loss Control Services, i.e. fire protection surveys, industrial hygiene reports, are neededAnalyze Loss Control Results and Plans for Future Trends
Qualifications:What You'll Bring:Problem SolvingSupporting the Senior Risk Manager and head of Risk Management with technical research and analysisAbility to think independently and provide well thought solutions.Must be able to identify problems, review new insurance options, research them using various tools and resources, logically analyze them and choose from various solutionsRisk Management is a very varied discipline that requires the Risk Manager to think quickly and work on many different issues simultaneouslyEducation/ExperienceMinimum of 5 years insurance industry related experience and Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, management or business related degreeProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and TeamsExperience with Risk Management Information SystemsExcellent communications skills are a mustCommunicationsWorks with all internal stakeholders including but not limited to HR, Legal and Finance.Works with all levels of external stakeholders including but not limited to outside counsels, claims representatives, broker specialists and insurersAbility to explain complex risk management issues and to be able build and maintain strong relationships.BENEFITS & PERKS WHATS IN IT FOR YOU:
