Job Title:
Summer Intern, IT DepartmentLocation : Fully on-site in Glen Allen, VA 23060 (no remote option)Duration : 10-week paid summer internship (June-August)
As an IT Intern at Richmond National, you'll gain hands-on experience in IT operations, software development, data engineering, and AI/ML. You'll work closely with our agile in-house product, data, and development teams, contributing to real enterprise projects that drive our tech-forward approach to delivering cloud-native insurance solutions.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of in-house software solutions including front-end, back-end, and API development.Support IT operations, including ticket triage, troubleshooting, system updates, network management and cyber security threat monitoring and prevention.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tech-driven insurance cloud software initiatives.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of processes and systems.Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and/or data query languages (e.g. SQL).Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.Interest in the intersection of technology and insurance.
