? ?JOB SUMMARYTranslates physicians dictation of patient care and treatment into comprehensive typed records.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOne (1) year of medical transcription experience.Accurately type more than 65 words per minuteSpecialized Transcription training, license or certificate preferredBasic computer knowledge with a firm understanding of Windows, Microsoft Word and Internet ExplorerIn order to be considered for this position, all applicants must complete a skills assessment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide accurate and timely transcribed reports of physician orders and medical documentsTranscribe physicians notes into well organized and accurate statementsTranscribe and produce letters as requestedInvestigates inconsistencies in medical records and appropriately edit or revise without altering the meaning or changing the authors style.Responds to priority requests within acceptable time frameParticipate in ongoing quality assurance projects and meetings relating to transcription.Copy, fax and shred documents
