General Function

To provide excellent customer service and advocate for a safe and inclusive environment for all who enter into Brunswick Community College's Dinah E. Gore Fitness & Aquatics Center. This

part-time position(s) will be responsible for providing lifeguarding services to patrons of the Aquatics Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

Provide lifeguarding services to patrons of the Aquatics CenterProvide a safe environment for aquatic patrons by enforcing and modeling facility rulesAssist in cleaning and maintenance of aquatic center and locker roomsAssist in completion of records and reports including maintenance and incident reportsAssist with additional duties as assignedAttend lifeguard in-service trainingsMinimum Qualifications

Must hold current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AEDMust possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with othersAbility to work flexible hours including early morning, evenings, or weekends to participate in regular in service trainingsMust possess strong decision making skillsAbility to communicate effectively with patrons in a variety of situations
