We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.OverviewWe’re seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) who has a passion towards best practices for patient care in the area(s) of outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. The site supports and works closely with the area high school, Headache Medicine, Pelvic Health providers, Cancer surgeons, Orthopedic surgeons, and primary care providers.This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! Our outpatient office in Glastonbury is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) driven by excellence. We support our local high school and athletes with our Sports Medicine Program and work in partnership with our ATC and physician colleagues to provide seamless coordinated care. We also provide care for the Headache population, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Safe Steps Program, Total joints from the Bone and joint Institute, and general orthopedic neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. Both new grads and experienced clinicians are welcome. Position SpecificsPhysical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).Clinicians with their OCS, SCS or manual therapy certification preferred but not requiredCurrent State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire
