Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirect operations at the scenes of incidents, alert Lieutenants as neededWrite investigative, incident, accident, and similar reportsComplete daily activity reports, payroll, and equipment inventory reportsMaintain accurate records and documentation related to security activities, incidents, and personnelProvide guidance and support to security officers in handling challenging situations and resolving conflictsConduct regular patrols and inspections to identify security risks and vulnerabilities; coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to address security concerns and mitigate risksRespond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action, as necessaryLead, supervise, and mentor a team of security officers to ensure the efficient and effective execution of security operationsEnsure security professionals follow policies and procedures and provide feedback to the Lieutenant as needed to correct behaviorTrain and provide regular guidance to officers to provide secondary management and leadership supportRecommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectivesInterpret, convey, and ensure implementation of agency policies, procedures, and methods; ensure that staff has clear guidelines of authority and responsibilityProvide new-hire and professional development continuing education training for Downtown Dallas Security professionals; develop and implement security procedures, protocols, and training programs to enhance the capabilities of the security teamIssue and maintain equipment including radios, bikes, uniforms, etc.Performs safety, patrol and security duties by motor vehicles, bicycle, or on footAssist Dallas Police Department (DPD) and Crisis Intervention with homeless engagement and Quality of Life (QOL) issuesDevelop targeted patrols to address QOL issues in high-risk areasRepresent the Down Dallas Security in a professional manner on the job, at meetings, and special eventsProvide a high level of customer service to citizens and visitors by answering questions and addressing complaints through internal investigationsCoordinate with DPD quality of life ordinance enforcementCoordinate with Clean Team to address maintenance issues downtownEnsure Downtown Dallas Security professionals are uniformed in a neat and presentable mannerStay abreast of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovationPerform other duties as assignedRequirements

Education and Experience

Ideally, candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the security field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Previous experience in law enforcement or military service may be advantageous.Understanding of City of Dallas codes and ordinancesMeet officer renewal deadlines, Level III requalification DPSWorking knowledge of Equipment Inventory - radios, uniformsKnowledge of Time & Attendance, Performance Management and Injury-on-Duty processesBi-lingual ability is desirableLanguage/Math/Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions and draw valid conclusions.Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate oneExcellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationComputer SkillsWorking knowledge of EPONIC and TrackTic Reporting SystemWorking knowledge of Body Cameras and video softwareProficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.Experience in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, OutlookQualities an Ideal Candidate Must Possess:
