Overview:
The Accounting Intern position is responsible for learning billing, accounts payable, and general accounting in the Revenue and Accounting departments in order to help assist multiple team members and positions in their day-to-day duties. The role will also fill-in for other team members when they are out, and assist in achieving department goals.Responsibilities:Crosstrain in multiple roles within the Accounting and Revenue departmentsAssist Accounting and Revenue department with day to day duties and assignmentsFill in when team members are out by taking on their duties until they returnLearn different accounting skills and techniquesScanning and filingAssist in processing invoicesAnswer emails and phone calls from vendors and internal departmentsAssist in auditing billing informationAssist in inventorying contractsQualifications:Knowledge Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to take verbal and written instruction and execute with confidenceTeam player who can also produce independent resultsGood organizational skillsAttention to detailBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelors Degree in Accounting, or currently in college pursuing requiredCompetitive CompensationCovenants compensation philosophys intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company.
