As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover and shutdown of operating equipment.General Mills encourages growth for our employees; if you want to learn new things, attain and prove competency quickly, and apply technology in the manufacturing space; GMI is a great place to start.Sanitation Technician - Only candidates with a resume or complete work history information will be consideredThis position is responsible for cleaning up after production shifts by assisting with the breaking down of the production equipment, scrub, scrape, wash and sanitize to perfect sanitary conditions.

What your compensation will look like:$18.04 per hour$2.00 shift differential on weekend$0.75 shift differential for Night ShiftUp to 15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually (depending on your schedule) and 11 paid company holidaysGreat paid time off benefits401(k) matchHealth Insurance- includes medical, dental and life.And much moreWhat your day will look like:Daily tasks include cleaning and sanitation of the production and warehouse facilityClean equipment and work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand toolsCleanup work area and trash including products, bags, boxesComplete daily paperwork accuratelyComply with GMP, personal hygiene, HARPC and other quality and safety programsWorking on man lift up to 30 feet in the air, crawling under equipment in water and debrisCleaning facility grounds including ditches, trash bins and trash bin areas and roof areasThe working environment will be of all-weather typesAssist in training new employeesMust be willing to work in other areas of the plant as assigned to do soMust be willing to work in all General Production responsibilities and duties as assigned including but not limited to:Bag, stack, count, oil, and paper feedThrowing dough balls at the pressInspecting and reworking productMust be able to follow a fair consistent line rotation on the line to perform various tasksOperate all equipment in accordance with the SOPs.Maintain control of all equipment and toolsResponsible for production shut down and clean up of food production lineWhat your schedule will look like:Day Shift: 6am 6:30pm

Night Shift: 6pm 6:30am

4-on-4-off rotating fixed schedule

Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidaysPlant operation is 24 hours a day 7 days a week When demand increases, hours and days can increase.What you have to offer:Minimum of a high school education or GEDExperience in a manufacturing/production environment preferredMinimum of 3 years sanitation experienceExperienced working with chemicalsMust be able to work in hot or cold environmentsPhysical requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfacesAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when requiredWilling to work around industrial high-speed moving machineryAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a food environmentExposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals)
