Growing company in the real estate industry is seeking a senior accountant.
The Senior Accountant provides accounting analysis and month end support including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and analysis of financial results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare intercompany reconcilationsMaintain chart of accountsPerform variance analysis on certain accountsPrepare general ledger journal entriesIdentify and implement continual improvementsBook interest and accrualsEnsure that work is done in accordance with various internal control requirements and appropriate documentation is maintainedEnsure that transactions are booked in compliance with US GAAP and are complete and accurateEducation Required:
Bachelor in AccountingCPA required (or studying towards)Experience/Specific Knowledge
2 plus years of accounting experience - public accounting experience preferredFundamental understanding of accounting and financial principlesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to work independentlyDependable, flexible, organized, multitasking individual with a great work ethic and a drive to make processes more efficient
