PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for reviewing, preparing and disbursing funds on Refinances, Purchases and Lines of Credit. Performing mortgage loan support services including assisting members with questions and completing basic clerical duties while providing an easy member experience that will result in member loyalty.

Works with appropriate parties to clear any outstanding conditions prior to loan funding.Reviews and approves Estimated Closing Statement and Post Closing CD.Verifies and prepares wire transfer instructions.Verifies loan amount, fees, rate and any other funding amounts.Reviews (signed) loan documents for signatures, notary information, title and escrow instructions.Follows-up with any post-closing issues that may arise.Maintains a thorough working knowledge of Credit Union and regulatory changes that affect the Funding and Doc Drawing process.Resolves funding discrepancies with the Accounting and Shipping Departments.Inputs loan information in Servicing Director.Books loan on the appropriate accounting system and sets up servicing file.Current knowledge of policies and procedures of document drawing.Communicates with Processor, Loan Officer and Escrow Agent when documents are drawn.Service as back up for Loan ServicingKnowledge of RESPA / TRID requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of or ability to learn credit union's products and services as well as state and federal regulations that are applicable to the tasks performed in this position.Knowledge of mortgage loan funding and document drawing procedures.Member (customer) service skills to include responding promptly to members needs in a timely, friendly and respectful manner. Follow-through on member commitments. Ability to manage difficult member situations and keep emotions under control.Computer skills to include e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.Ability to apply reasoning and common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma (GED) and one to three years of mortgage lending and/or funding experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), a process which requires submission of fingerprints to the NMLS and undergo a criminal background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid driver license and current auto insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is of light physical activity performing non-strenuous tasks of a clerical nature. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is consistently required to sit. Requires occasional standing and walking. Occasionally required to squat and bend at the waist. Frequent repetitive use of both hands to include occasional simple grasping. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with hands to fingers. Occasional lifting and carrying of files.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work area is a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. The noise level is moderate.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Workweek will be 40 hours to include some overtime as needed. Occasional attendance at meetings before or after scheduled hours may be required. Management reserves the right to change any employee's work schedule to meet the operational needs of the Credit Union. Furthermore, management reserves the right to reassign any employee, either temporarily or permanently, to work at another credit union location.

TRAVEL:

Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
