Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery, ensuring efficient production of high-quality plastic products. The Operator will be responsible for setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the extrusion line, adhering to safety and quality standards throughout the process.
Responsibilities:Set up and prepare plastic extrusion machines according to production specifications.Operate and monitor the extrusion process to ensure smooth and efficient operation.Adjust machine settings to control factors such as speed, temperature, and pressure.Monitor raw material levels and replenish supplies as needed.Inspect extruded products for defects and take corrective measures as necessary.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.Document production and quality data accurately and timely.
Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machine operation or plastics processing is a plus.Proven experience as a Machine Operator in plastic extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with specific brands or types of plastic extrusion machinery (e.G., single screw, twin screw, co-extrusion).Knowledge of different types of plastics and their properties.Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
