Are you looking for a practice that prides itself on providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service? Do you enjoy a work-life balance that includes those previously elusive things like predictable schedules and actual lunch breaks? If so, SeaPort Veterinary Hospital would love to hear from you!We're looking for an experienced, full-time veterinary assistant to add to our team. We are looking specifically for someone comfortable and educated with patient restraint, filling and administering medications and treatments, assisting veterinarians and technicians, and controlling the flow of technician-based appointments. We're a paperless, full-service hospital within walking distance of Good Harbor Beach. We treat cats, dogs, exotics, and local wildlife.
We hold weekly team huddles and monthly staff meetings to keep communication flowing and work on solutions for any issues that arise. We work hard to maintain a culture of respect and hard work, and we definitely know the value of laughing together and leaning on each other for support. We practice core values that have been delicately selected by our team and enforce those values day in and day out.
Applicants would ideally also be competent at patient restraint, and someone who wants to expand and grow their skills. Other required skills include client communication, patient restraint, operating lab equipment, helping perform x-rays, administering oral and injectable medications, and filling medications. Previous experience is preferred.
Candidates must have solid interpersonal skills and need to be able to multitask, exhibit professional behavior, work well in a close-knit team environment, and thrive on treating patients, coworkers, and clients with respect and compassion.
