Job Description

The Kroll's Financial Instruments and Technology practice is a leading solutions provider for asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, banks, insurers, private equity firms, commodity trading and investment firms, and corporations.

Day-to-day responsibilities:Reviewing investment memoranda, governing documents of structured investments, board of directors' presentations, and client modelsDesigning financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analysesPerforming valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theoryCompiling statistical summaries of companies' financial information, developing and computing financial ratios, and presenting the analyses in an organized manner and/or using our standard formats and presentationsWorking with management with building and maintaining client relationshipsReporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports, including assisting in the presentation of work products and conclusions internally to clientsAssisting team with interviewing clients, including preparing information request lists, participating in face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagementAttending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industryEssential traits:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or scientific discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative fields)Minimum 1 year of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: enterprise valuation using DCF & market approaches, bond and equity valuations, and other structured investment modelsRisk analysis, credit analysis, or experience evaluating structured financial products and associated cash flow modeling is a plusA fundamental understanding of, financial accounting, financial valuation theory, cashflow modeling, and fixed income productStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to managing multiple ongoing assignmentsKnowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge in SQL and a coding language such as VBA, Python, or R is a plusAbility to work both independently as well as collaborate with diverse teams

The current salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000
