The Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial intake process for clients seeking substance abuse treatment. This role involves conducting assessments, coordinating with healthcare providers and families, and ensuring a smooth transition into treatment programs. The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing excellent client service and supporting the facility's mission to deliver effective and compassionate care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Assessment:

Conduct initial assessments and interviews with clients to determine their treatment needs and eligibility.Gather comprehensive information on clients' substance use history, mental health status, and social support systems.Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of client information.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with healthcare providers, case managers, and family members to facilitate client admissions and treatment planning.Provide clear information about treatment options, facility policies, and procedures to clients and their families.Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, addressing their questions and concerns.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain and update client records in compliance with confidentiality regulations and facility policies.Schedule intake appointments and manage intake-related documentation.Process insurance authorizations and verify coverage, as needed.

Support and Referral:

Assist clients with referrals to additional services and resources, such as housing, legal aid, and employment support.Support clients in understanding and navigating the treatment process.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure adherence to all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements related to client intake and confidentiality.Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance the intake process and overall client experience.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with clinical staff and treatment teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate treatment placement.Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment setting or related field is highly desirable. Experience in intake coordination or case management is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.

Salary Description

$18 - $20 hourly
