Filo Mortgage, L.L.C. is seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. This position is fully remote and is a full-time, regular W-2 position. The incumbent must have both DE and SAR designations and have strong experience underwriting VA, FHA and conventional loans. In this role you will evaluate borrower income, analyze credit reports and debt information, determinate and review assets and collateral, and review mortgage file it ensure it meets investor requirements.
Responsibilities
Analyze information from multiple sources to perform a thorough evaluation and assessment of each borrower including credit, income and assetsAnalyze appraisals to ensure they are done in accordance with guidelines and that the value is supportedThorough knowledge of agency and government underwriting guidelinesDetail oriented team player who can not only decision a loan but work with teammates on ways to structure loans to get approvals and minimize riskOwn the credit decision on files from initial underwriting submission through clear to closeMonitor mortgage pipeline to ensure closing dates are metKeep informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage riskBenefits:
