JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Manages the most complex bond and equity investment portfolios for Trust clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops methodologies for investment strategies and / or is involved in the ongoing process of reviewing and modifying existing methodologies.Determines investment strategies for clients, shareholders, or advisors in the form of a separately managed account, mutual fund, or some type of collective vehicle.Initiates contacts for developing and closing new businessCultivates and maintains relationships with investment clients, including high net worth individualsMeets with current and prospective clients to explain investment services and to obtain background data on personal financesAssists clients in the development of investment strategies based on the bank's investment philosophy and client's investment objectivesRecommends specific investments based upon strategies and objectives developed with clientsKeeps abreast of developments in the financial markets using fundamental and technical research to arrive at sound and timely investment recommendationKeeps abreast of legal and tax consequences of investment decisionsInitiates actions to execute the purchase and sale of investment securitiesProvides advice and guidance to less experienced Portfolio ManagersAll other duties/special projects as assigned.Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting, plus 7+ years of investment and financial analysis experience.A Chartered Financial Analyst or CIMA certification is preferredRequires an advanced understanding of trusts and investment products and marketsRequires an advanced understanding of banking and investment regulationsRequires advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite of productsESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work under stress and meet deadlinesAbility to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functionsAbility to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functionsAbility to travel if required to perform the essential job functionsAbility to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
