Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will hold a key role within the department by driving the month end close process; assisting with the preparation of the financial statements; providing periodic reporting; and other projects. The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, strong communication and organization skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, the discretion to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of multiple legal entities (industries including, but not limited to, real estate and manufacturing). The primary focus of these entities consists of asset management, rental agreements, and debt arrangements.

Prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account informationMaintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepanciesLead the month end close process to ensure items are completed timely and accuratelyPerform analytical procedures to evaluate financial resultsAssist in preparation and review of financial statements for both internal and external reportingPrepare financial consolidation for elaborate ownership structureLead debt accounting for multiple debt arrangementsCoordinate with financial institutions on debt transactions and renewalsFacilitate financial reporting to financial institutions in accordance with agreementsStreamline general ledger accounts for consistency across multiple entitiesAssist tax department by providing financial information necessary to complete tax filingsOversee Junior and Staff Accountants (ranging from 1-3 employees)

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

- CPA preferable
