AVP, Commercial Insurance Underwriting Manager

Our client continues to experience tremendous growth within their Commercial Insurance - Middle Market Division. This growth has created a need to add an AVP, Commercial Insurance Underwriting Manager. This person would be responsible for overseeing a team of Production Underwriters which includes: managing and leading a team of underwriting professional to execute on the growth strategy, profitability, and retention. Build and maintain broker/agency relationships while delivering high level expectations for the entire territory.

Lines of business include: Commercial Property, General Liability, Auto, Workers' Compensation, Package, and Umbrella/Excess.Manage the execution of underwriting strategies and hold the team accountable for implementation.Support/collaborate on region sales and marketing initiatives, assisting with new product launches and marketing campaigns.Educate agents on products, services, as well as underwriting strategies and product marketing.Ability to successfully negotiate on all levels with both internal and external partners and nurture key producer relations.Requirements:

7+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriting Experience2+ years of Underwriting Leadership experienceLoss control/Risk services knowledge, understanding concepts, practices, terms is a plus.Proven track record of building strong business relationships with agents and insuredsStrong communication, analytical skills, and business acumenBachelor's Degree is strongly preferredSalary/Benefits:
