We jointly express and promote our commitment under the corporate brand THE KAITEKI COMPANY.Job PurposePerform activities associated with operating the ram extrusion lines (standard and thin wall) for the Fort Wayne, Indiana facility.Principal Accountabilities Demonstrates ability to operate and understand the principles of ram extrusion. Demonstrates ability to operate forklifts. Properly label material to be shipped from Extrusion. Perform and calculate times for color changes, shut downs, purges, and poly pros. Cut stock back to correct lengths and place in proper containers (boxes, carts, pallets, etc.). Ability to complete all paperwork correctly and in a timely fashion (dispatch list, data collection charts, SPC charts, product I.D. tags, etc.) Monitor Extrusion Process and identify problems (heats, rates, physical characteristics, quality, and specifications, etc.) Demonstrates ability to operate measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, protractor, filer gage, weigh scale). Demonstrates ability to do root cause analysis. Monitor, fill and/or exchange resin hoppers. Properly record and cut up scrap. Demonstrates ability to assemble, start, and run good quality product on any die for production. Demonstrates the ability to place a work order when equipment requires maintenance. Demonstrates the ability to produce new procedures to lower die changeover times and quicker color changes. Demonstrates the ability to operate and interface with all ram extrusion controllers. Demonstrates the ability to start up and shut down the department. Demonstrates the ability to understand all extrusion compounds. Additional Responsibilities Keep department floor space organized and clean. Dispose of trash. Perform all responsibilities with safety as first priority. Perform all functions with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility. Maintain excellent attendance to aid in department function. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
