Our client is an international Aerospace company that designs and manufactures light plates, integrated switch panels, and control planes used in aircraft flight decks.Job Summary:Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft components using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company s quality standards. This job reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager.FAI (first article inspection) of newly designed or revised products.Incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and manufacturing order.In-process inspection of parts being manufactured.Sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircrafts.Final products prior to shipment.Equipment used to manufacture and inspect aircraft components.Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.Assures an optimal level of manufactured components on the manufacturing floor conform to engineering drawings and / or specifications.Inspects and records information on test models, production models or new partsPerform first article sample part inspections and report findings.Monitors approved processes and procedures used to assure product QualityGathers inspection dataSupports operations and engineering personnel with quickly resolving quality related issues.General Notes:All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of Safran products.As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or equivalent experience.Experience: 1 - 3 years minimum experience within the quality environment.Computer Skill: Familiar with Windows Operating System .Qualified candidate must possess ability to use precision measuring instruments. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred.Knowledge in operating Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines (PCMM) such as Laser Trackers and Articulate ArmsUnderstanding of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Knows and understands GeometryCatia / Enovia Literate and/or 3D SoftwaresKnowledgeable in basic and advanced 3D Inspection SoftwaresMinor traveling may be required.Must pass drug testing and background checking
