Role Overview (Scope of Role) The
Material Handler
performs the manufacturing, packaging and shipping of finished product.
This position is located in Florence, KY and reports to the Shift Supervisor. Entry pay rate is $22.29 per hour. Must be flexible with work shift as business can alternate between 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, depending on volume. Must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
Responsibilities
Process and move product though Sawline, Sander & Packaging production areas.
Operate forklifts, cranes, push dolly and other equipment as required. Keep accurate count of sheets on pallet or footage on reel. Monitor cuts to ensure dimensions are correct and square. Follow operating procedures, quality and safety guidelines for area 5S checklist. Maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED is required. Entry level position. Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Good verbal/written communications skills. Must meet physical demands requirements. Willing to work with hazardous and/or flammable chemicals with PPE. Willing and able to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
