QC InspectorGrade Level: 5
The QC Inspector located in Grandview, MO reports to our Plant Manager and is responsible for inspecting incoming parts from vendors, parts in process and finished goods to assure conformance to quality control requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect incoming parts to print and specification using a variety of test devices and measuring instruments.Inspect first piece and randomly sample injection and compression, plastic and rubber molding, machine shop, and assembly production operation, for conformance with current engineering drawings.Inspect finished product for quality of workmanship, calibration and conformance to standard or special parts list data.Follow instructions regarding sample sizes and rejection standards.Periodically inspect in-process work according to route and sampling instructions received from Plant Manager.Advise supervision and line leaders of unacceptable parts or finished product and cause of rejection.Perform analysis on customer return units to determine failure modes, record information, and advise supervisors accordingly.Maintain files on production and quality control information using standard forms, maintain charts on performance.Perform material movement or other work and may provide production relief as required.Responsible for general housekeeping in the assigned work area.Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):

Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:
Must have a good working knowledge in using prints, instruments, and gages.Know engineering requirements and simple sampling techniques.Must be experienced in a variety of product lines and parts manufacturing procedures.Physical/Mental Essential Functions:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to reach above shouldersAbility to walk back and forward thought-out facilityAbility to control operation of hand or footAbility to lift / carry up to 10 pounds.Ability to turn wrist frequently in repetitive motion
