8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (THL), a private equity firm.Responsibilities:We don't screen for THC!Wage: $18.00+ depending on experienceDifferential for 2nd shift is $1.00/hrPosition Summary:Our 8th Avenue Production Operators are responsible for safely operating assigned equipment for daily shift production, meeting all throughput and waste reduction goals. This role will manage the entire manufacturing process, perform necessary quality checks, diagnose problems and machine adjustments, and perform key sanitation activities to ensure quality product is produced in a safe and efficient manner.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage all steps in the operation process, including: Batching ingredients, operating ovens and other technical equipment, yielding finished lbs., sanitation of the equipment and tools, and proper inventory management.Perform necessary quality checks of product at all stages of production to ensure the product meets specifications and we continuously adhere to standard operating procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.Use computers and tools to take appropriate and regular machine readings; record data as required and report abnormal machine readings to supervisor immediately to prevent product waste and lossProactively keep machine areas, floors, and bins clean, wiped down, and free of hazards throughout shift, in accordance with standards, procedures, and expectations. Assist other operators as needed.Report machine problems to the shift supervisor or lead and ensure machine logs are accurately filled out, detailing mechanical and non-mechanical downtime. Fill out work order requests as needed to ensure appropriate machine uptimeOther duties, as assignedEducation & Experience Required:Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:High School Diploma or GED equivalent1-year experience in manufacturing environmentExperience operating a Forklift, motorized pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.Physical Requirements:
