Energy Portfolio Data Analyst

to work together with the Energy Trading Systems Team. The primary goal of

Energy Portfolio Data Analyst

is to ensure their primary trading systems team can manage key contractual service support for multiple business management units, product lines, including IT, operations, legal, and finance departments. A as part of the Trading Support department this role is responsible to ensure reconciliations with group affiliates providing contractual service agreements to include but not limited to RFP, RFI, and RFQ's for Power Purchase Agreements, Procurement of Gas and Power for industrial sites of the affiliates, Energy Mechanisms, and Gas Sales Agreements. The Energy Data Management team manages all data supplied by market system operators and providers, within various power and gas markets, using a centralized database portal to calculate imbalances and costs associated with physical trades. The team supports the development of the business across markets and less-carbonized commodities by developing and maintaining an Energy Database. The team is the direct liaison with market system operators to on-board assets onto balancing perimeters, is responsible for continuous data collection from different sources, data comparison, check, and cleaning, and enables a seamless and flexible single access to accurate and robust data which is leveraged by internal and external stakeholders. is accountable for data management while standardizing a data base referential across all systems to ensure seamless implementation. The Energy Data Portfolio Analyst is accountable for the reconciliation, P&L explanation and invoiceable deals in coordination with multiple business units and operational support teams such as legal and finance departments.

Duties:

Ensure contract content and allocation data is received in a timely manner for Business Unit's contractual service agreements.Ensure all communications to the Business Unit is confirmed e verifying data accuracy daily and proper reflection within trading system.Provide data analysis support to the organization's physical energy portfolio integration in current and new North America power markets.Prepare scope to include implementation of new power contracts, market rules, ISO protocols and trading systems of relevant market areas including ERCOT, CAISO and PJM.Help to manage the REC settlement process and reporting requirements through close coordination with power trading desk and business unit teams.Reconcile group affiliated contracts and booking of actualization of contract into trading system ahead of settlements.Report and explain any P&L impact to Energy Portfolio and Trading Systems business unit manager.Produce key performance measures around imbalances of assets and short-term activities that will be used for back testing of commercial contracts pricing.Liaison with Trading Systems and IT departments in the development and testing of new operational systems and tools.Scope includes the supervision of the operational systems, ensuring good working order to enable the uninterrupted operational performance.Monitor power markets and industry developments and assess impact on current and potential organizational activities related to data management.Support the power operators and traders as the first point of contact for operational queries and new technical developments as needed.Scope includes providing all necessary reports and statements supporting all power activity.Verify and validate the accuracy of all producers, gathering and downstream pipeline settlement documents associated to the assigned shale play.Initiate and manage dispute resolution issues with producers, gatherers, and downstream pipelines.Spearhead cost entry in the organization's ETRM system (BOOK) and associated settlement tasks.Ensure the accurate recording of physical gas transactions within the organization's ETRM system (BOOK) and auxiliary system tools (netback models).Scope includes verifying and validating the accuracy of assigned shale play, gathering systems and downstream pipeline statements.Prepare monthly and prior period adjustment (PPA) netback settlements.Review and stay current on relevant producer, gathering and downstream pipeline contracts associated to assigned shale play.Ensure all settlement models and tools are maintained with contractual costs and pricing structures.Provide data assistance to the Accounting team with aged debt reporting and resolution and analyzing accruals that are directly impacted by the netback settlement process.Maintain strong working relationships with the assigned shale play producers, gathering and downstream pipeline facilities.Scope includes netback methodology guidance, ad hoc inquiries, and upper management presentation support.Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders for purposes such as regulatory reporting, customs, and contract reviews.Requirements:

2+ years' experience in the Gas and Power markets with a high data analysis component.A thorough understanding of the North America power industry, and energy markets.Must be versed in modelling tools -

Alteryx, Python and PBI.Strong analytical capabilities, especially in energy markets and in a broader economical field.Education:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Energy is required.
