General Purpose of the Position:The purpose of this position is to preserve order, protect property and personnel, and enforce regulations through officer presence, video surveillance, the use of positive access control while maintaining an updated log of all events.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Surveillance of multiple facilitiesVehicle / Foot Patrol of multiple facilitiesControl Access to multiple facilitiesMaintain updated incident log of all eventsReport writingShipping / ReceivingClearly / Effectively communicate with staff and customersProvide officer presence to customers / employeesProvide escort for tours / vendorsSecures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entryObtains help by sounding alarmsPrevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassersControls traffic by directing driversCompletes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signaturesMaintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controlsMaintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirementsEnsures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniquesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAssumes the responsibilities of internal mail retrieval, sorting and distribution, as required

Education and Experience:Certification: Valid Driver's License
Education: High School Diploma or GED
