Work Schedule:

60% FTE, evening/night shift rotation with an every third weekend rotation. Holiday rotation required. This position is eligible to receive a $4/hour evening, $5/hour night, and $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a

Registered Nurse (RN)

to:

Work on a 12-bed neuroscience intermediate and critical care unit with both ICU and IMC patients. Interventions may include vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, frequent assessments, and more.

Work with a variety of neurology and neurosurgical patients, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases.

Participate in shared governance, with a unit-based council to help support and drive quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.

Work with a dynamic team of nurses that are an integral part of our nationally recognized neuroscience programs committed to providing expert care.

Utilize evidence-based practice and be a part of a collaborative learning environment.

Education:

Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Work Experience:

Minimum - Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency

Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar

unit.

Preferred - Relevant RN Experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification. ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
