The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 22 bed unit treating patients with acute medical-surgical or trauma-induced conditions, chronically ill and/or debilitated patients, and patients with acute cardiac illness. The ICU provides a variety of services including managing medical-surgical patients with holistic care, including psychological, cultural, emotional, medical, nutritional, and environmental needs.A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital.

Education/Experience RequirementsRequired:Graduate of an accredited associate degree

*A Graduate Nurse (GN) must complete NCLEX within 120 days of employment.Preferred:Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.Licensure/Certification RequirementsRequired:Current New York State licensure as a Registered NurseBasic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:Certification in a specialty area.

Critical Care NursingACLS required within 1 yearPALS required within 1 year

Hourly Rate Range$33.00 - $46.02Based on verified education and experience
