What You Will DoAccurately and effectively generate, distribute, and maintain maintenance records and reports in support of regulatory and company requirementsPerform QA/QC of all contractor work on and off-site within their skillsetUtilize subject matter expertise to train and develop mill employees on safe, and quality welding processesMaintain on-going skills enhancement such as staying current with emerging technology, certifications, and expanding knowledge base with on-going educationAct as a Georgia-Pacific Representative in the management of contractors, up to and including, developing work scopes, acquiring competitive bids, and writing contracts as defined by managementSupport the work order planning and BOM development and updating processes as defined by managementPractice the MBM guiding principles to create continuous transformation and positive growthWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GEDExperience working with computersA current Certified Welding Inspector Certification (CWI) through an accredited institution such as American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalentCertified Welder through accredited institution such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) or equivalent in positions up to 6G or BPVC utilizing TIG, MIG or ARCExperience training/mentoring other craft employees within their own subject matter expertiseWhat Will Put You Ahead
Advanced degree/certification in engineering, electrical/mechanical systems, paper manufacturing, or reliabilityExperience in Work Order Planning, and BOM updates and development in SAP2 or more years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment2 or more years of experience in the pulp and paper industry1 or more years of experience in maintenance or reliabilityExperience with basic mechanical maintenance and/or machine troubleshooting
