Aerospace Paint Prep at Aerotek in POST FALLS, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Title: Paint Prep Technician Job Description + Seeking a diligent Paint Prep Technician to prepare parts for painting by wiping them with acetone or isopropyl, taping them to a tray, and flipping them once painted. + Occasionally, you will sand or deburr parts using files, hand grinders, or power tools, which can be physically demanding on the hands and shoulders. + This role requires good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, as you will primarily work with a lot of small parts. + The job is fast-paced, with responsibilities including prepping anywhere from 1,500-3,000+ parts each night. + You will also be required to wear a respirator on occasion. Hard Skills + Experience in manufacturing or production environments + Ability to see fine details and maintain high quality standards + Prior paint and paint prep or powder coating experience + Experience meeting production goals and working with minimal supervision Work Environment + You will be working for an aerospace company that manufactures thermoplastic composite parts for airplanes out of carbon fiber. + Main customers include Boeing, Airbus, and Blue Origin. + The work environment features friendly people and cutting-edge technology such as laser jets, welders, saws, ovens, and presses. + The shop is very clean, ensuring you go home clean after work.
