What you will doConducts day to day analysis and tests several areas in the quality control program which include data analysis, systems evaluation, and product assessment. Ensures day to day operations are carried out in an efficient and appropriate manner, correcting any irregularities. Controls and reviews the organization's current processes to ensure the short-term and long-term quality standards business objectives are met.How you will do itApproves finished products, in-process production and incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming requirements.Assists with QA audits.Leads investigations on basic production issues.Execute inspection requirementsDocument data and information as required.Maintain documentation and records. Cooperate with other internal groups in maintaining and improving the inspection system.Support additional QA technician duties as required.Comply with the following Environmental, Health and Safety duties as a condition of employment:Comply with safety rulesAttend and Participate in Safety TrainingParticipate actively in the safety processAsk questions if something isn't knownReport all accidents and injuries immediatelySubmit suggestions to improve safetyKnow responsibilities in the event of an emergency (i.e. what to do in the event of an alarm for fire, chemical spills, tornados, etc.)Be a coach to others who are acting unsafelyMust have Lock-out tags after 6 monthsAttend and participation all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainingsAbility to recognize chemical hazardous labelsSpill management and clean-upCapability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirementsProficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properlyWhat we look forRequired 2 years of experience in working in a quality position within a manufacturing environment in mechanical or automotive field. Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quicklyStrong written & verbal communication skills to generate process instructions and reportsAbility to read blueprints and follow instructions specifiedAbility to use measurement equipment as requiredAbility to follow a structured project management process including document meeting minutes, action items, and monitor progressDocumentation of inspection resultsSAP or other MRP based systemPreferredAssociate degree in technical fieldWhat we do hereOur Winston-Salem, North Carolina assembly plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications.
