We are looking for a
Senior Accountant
interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Finance team at PIM's Headquarters in Park Ridge. This position supports the accounting of PIM; reporting directly to the Assistant Controller. Assists in the day to day as well as the month end activities of the department. Utilizes prior accounting knowledge and experience to enhance current business processes.
Job DescriptionExecute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities and/or accounts on a timely basisPrepare and record journal entriesPerform detailed analytics to identify anomalies and discrepancies, and evaluate trendsReconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balancesCoordinate documentation support and correspondence for external auditsCreate SOPs to document new and existing processes, recommending and implementing change as neededPerform special projects and reporting as requiredQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required7+ years of General Accounting or other relevant experienceExperience working in an inventory based business required; CPG experience preferredThorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Proficiency with MS Office (Specifically Excel) and experience with accounting softwareAbility to communicate with different levels of the organizationExcellent attention to detailAptitude and desire to think outside the box and implement changeProven experience to work with minimum supervisionAbility to read, speak, and write Spanish ispreferred, but not requiredWorksite:
