Job Description - Ophthalmic Photographer I, Full Time (3180363) **Job Description**Ophthalmic Photographer I, Full Time - ( 3180363 ) **Description****Summary**We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus for new hires who accept an offer by December 31st, 2021! The bonus will be paid out in two $500 installments, after 90 days of successful employment from the start date, and after 12 months of successful employment, from the start dateThis position is Full Time, at our Main Campus. We offer 50% off the MBTA pass. The position is Mon- Fri and benefits eligible.Under general direction of the Practice Manager for Network Imaging, The Ophthalmic Photographer performs ophthalmic imaging, and medical photography.**Position Duties**- Performs ophthalmic photography duties to produce fundus, full face, wide angle, OCT, SLO, angiographic and anterior segment imaging studies for patient records/teaching files and for clinical research.- Reviews MD orders in EPIC prior to performing photography.- Properly documents phases of angiographic studies using fundus camera and SLO.- Produces photographs on patients under anesthesia with a contact camera while providing for patient safety.- Performs general medical photography.- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and condition of the patients served in the department. Provides for care and/or extends services as described in department policies and procedures manual.- Explains imaging procedures to patient and provides instruction during imaging, including fluorescein angiography and indocyanine green (ICG) angiography.- In the event of an adverse reaction, notifies the fluorescein lab nursing staff and provides for patient safety/comfort.- Repairs equipment within capability, or obtains timely maintenance and repair services as required.- Maintains current knowledge of developments in ophthalmic photography field through journals, seminars and workshops.- Maintains membership in professional ophthalmic photographers organizations.- Documents competently in the EHR known as EPIC- Assists in preparing images for presentation, and publication.
