The Staff Auditor is primarily responsible for completing audit engagement testing assignments under the supervision of the Lead Auditor and is expected, with support of more senior auditors, to identify controls, assess processes, perform control testing, and document work performed in accordance with internal audit methodology.This position works under immediate supervision and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.The Staff Auditor will adhere to all organizational and professional ethical standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and proceduresConducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papersIdentifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewedCommunicates or assists in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to managementDevelops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetingsPursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association membershipsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor (4-year college) degree and 1-4 years of experience orExcellent oral and written communication skillsUnderstanding of Capital Markets and Wealth ManagementCOMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Microsoft Office suiteCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)
CIA, CPA, CISA or other relevant professional designation is a plus
