This role will perform various inspections of sheet metal, machines, powder coat painted parts, weldments and other mechanical fabricated parts and assemblies using manual, digital and automated inspection equipment,

Perform mechanical inspection of machined parts, sheet metal parts and other mechanical itemsPerform inspection with handheld cmm (Keyence xm5000)Perform inspection with 3d scanner (Keyence vl700)Perform inspection with optical profilometer (Keyence vr6000)Must be comfortable with the use of, at minimum: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, and height gages. knowing the proper application of each inspection toolWelding inspection per industry and print requirementsPerform in-process inspections on manufacturing floorPerform inspection of powder coat parts per ASTM standards using various inspection equipmentPerform visual inspection of exterior finishesReviewing certs on inbound product from suppliers (both raw materials and outside processing)Generate non-conforming material reports and other quality reports as requiredWorking with production and engineering to resolve any noted quality issues/nonconformancesMaintain production efficiency levels by quickly and accurately processing product and inspectionsMust be able to interpret engineering drawings, with an understanding of gd&t ASME Y14.5Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements and standards a plus!Able to perform data entry and navigate an ERP system. experience with Proshop a plus.Requirements
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 8 years of related experience, preferably with metal parts preferredExperience with Keyence XM, VL and VR equipment is a major plusKnowledge of geometrical dimensioning & tolerance, in accordance with ASME Y14.5Experience working in an ISO/Aerospace environment a plusAbility to read and interpret drawingsStrong communication and teamwork skillsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlinesHard working and a desire to learnAWS Certified Weld Inspector a plus
