is seeking to recruit a fellowship trained, board certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon Division Chief to lead our outstanding and well-established Cardiac Surgery program at Ellis Medicine located in Schenectady, NY. This leadership role will involve overseeing the hospital-employed Cardiac Surgeons, who perform a comprehensive range of adult cardiac surgical procedures (excluding transplants).LeadershipThe ideal candidate for heading the Division of Cardiac Surgery at Ellis Medicine will be an outstanding leader with a proven track record in clinical practice. Renowned for its clinical excellence and high-quality patient care, the Division seeks someone with a history of exceptional patient outcomes and clinical performance. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive significant strategic planning in cardiothoracic surgery. They should be capable of setting a clear vision, inspiring, and managing effectively, and mentoring others.

The Chief will serve as the spokesperson for the CT program, responsible for enhancing and developing referral relationships, increasing cardiac surgery volume, and cultivating a successful program.Ellis Cardiothoracic SurgeryEllis Medicine is a leader in the New York Capital Region for Cardiac Care. Cardiac surgery patients receive specialized care in Ellis' state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, featuring the latest telemetry and monitoring technology. The team enjoys excellent outcomes based on STS criteria. Services range from minimally invasive surgery to more complex procedures requiring combinations of traditional and advanced techniques.
