Lead Lifeguard - Pool & Beach

We are looking for a detail-oriented Lead Lifeguard to oversees all aspects of lifeguarding the pools and beach daily. They will supervise the team that guards our pools and ocean swim zones and reacts to injuries and safety issues. This individual leads team meetings, training and communicates relevant business information. The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for upholding performance and grooming standards, completing opening and closing shift preparation and ensuring that all guest areas are set to specification. The lead guard will also oversee all equipment maintenance for their role (ex. Jet Ski) and maintain inventory and supply levels with the support of the Recreation Managers. They will maintain all certifications including but not limited to United States Lifesaving Association certifications, red cross CPR, and red cross lifeguard certifications. They will monitor ocean and weather conditions daily and into the future, alert guests and management of potential hazards, administer first aid, participate in water rescues when necessary and ensures safety and security of all swimmers within the pool and beach areas. Qualifications: - Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - Completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard training - Experience in open ocean lifeguarding - Preferred completion of USLA training courses Responsibilities: - Safeguard multiple pools and beach areas - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a team of ocean lifeguards - Ensure the safety of all individuals in or near the water - Enforce all pool and beach rules and regulations - Provide emergency medical assistance when needed - Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool and beach areas - Communicate effectively with team members and management
