My client is a leading a Financial Services asset management fund in NYC dedicated to delivering exceptional investment solutions and unparalleled client service. Our team thrives on collaboration and innovation, and we are seeking a Tax Principal who shares our commitment to excellence and teamwork.
Job Description
The Tax Principal will:
Lead and manage all aspects of partnership tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings.Develop and implement tax planning strategies that optimize fund performance and align with regulatory requirements.Collaborate closely with investment teams to assess tax implications of investment decisions and structures.Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Mentor and guide junior tax staff, fostering professional growth and development within the team.Stay current on tax laws and regulations, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Build strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.8+ years of experience in partnership tax compliance and tax planning, preferably within asset management / financial services.Deep understanding of tax regulations affecting partnerships and investment funds.Proven ability to communicate complex tax issues in a straightforward manner.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while building rapport with team members.Personality Traits:
