A private equity firm in Connecticut is currently seeking a new GP Accountant for a promising opportunity with their growing team.
Responsibilities:
The GP Accountant will be responsible for:Prepare/ review monthly/ quarterly trial balances, financial statements and supporting work-paper packages.Work directly with Fund Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure proper treatment of underlying fund-level activity, expense accruals and other intercompany activity.Work with PMs to account for and execute transactions related to GP balance sheet capitalPrepare / review economic allocations and partner capital account roll-forwards.Work with public accounting firms on annual audits and tax reporting including estimates and K1sCalculate all contribution and distribution amounts for each GP member (including carried interest)Prepare all contribution and distribution notices, including detailed exhibitsGeneral cash management: monitoring contributions/ distributions (between the Funds as well as the GP members) and liquidity forecasting in advance of capital activityPreparation of quarterly / semi-annual capital account statements and schedule of investments.Participate with onboarding new members of the GPParticipate in researching the implementation of 3rd party allocation engine or creation of a proprietary oneAutomate current processes and a multitude of other projects impacting the GP entitiesCodifying in memos ongoing changes in GP allocationQualifications:
3+ years of Public and/or Combo Private Equity experienceBachelor's Degree in AccountingMicrosoft Excel proficientDesired Skills:
Partnership Accounting experience from a Private Equity Fund
