Description

Essential FunctionsSupervising and guiding the accounting team, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.Overseeing the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analyses on a regular basis.Collaborating with other departments to create budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations for improvement.Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, as well as staying updated on changes in accounting practices.Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.Coordinating internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation, and addressing audit findings.Monitoring cash flow, overseeing banking activities, and managing investments to optimize financial performance.Collaborating with tax professionals, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.Conducting financial analysis, interpreting data, and providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.Communication and Collaboration: Interacting with various stakeholders, including executives, department heads, auditors, and external parties, to communicate financial information effectively.Requirements

Preferred skills needed but not limited to the following:

A.S. degree in construction management or similar.Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor.Experience in managing a direct hire workforce and subcontractors.Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
