About the Role
Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthful workplace and keeping tooling maintained to produce quality products. Also responsible for continuous improvement of tooling, housekeeping, making informed decisions, and having tooling ready for production runs.
Your Responsibilities
Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.Follows and supports and Magna's operating principlesTig and Mig weld and hand working parts of die (heat treat of materials)Assist in determining spare parts requirementsMaintain accurate documentationRecommend modifications to existing toolingSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processesEnsure quality product and know quality proceduresProgram CNC Machines using offline G-Code softwarePerform duties according to blueprints, CAD data, sketches and verbal instructionsPerform other duties as required.(This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Team members will be required to follow any other job related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their leader)
Who we are looking for
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GEDPost-secondary education preferred, or a minimum of 5 years' experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMinimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environmentOperate standard office equipment preferredGeneral knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools, practical application of Engineering ScienceDie building experience a plusBasic knowledge in automationThese qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Team members will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.
