The General Manager is pivotal in overseeing the airport's overall operations and management. This position involves strategic planning and coordination of various departments, including ground handling, passenger services, maintenance, and security, to ensure efficient and safe airport operations. You are responsible for liaising with airline partners, regulatory bodies, and government agencies, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and standards. You will also focus on financial management, business development, and customer satisfaction to enhance the airport's reputation and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all operational aspects of the company, including ground handling, customer service, and maintenanceDevelop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfactionManage and lead a diverse team of department heads and supervisorsMonitor operational performance against key performance indicators and objectivesLiaise with airlines, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective collaborationDrive business growth through innovative service offerings and strategic partnershipsOversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingEnsure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards across all operationsHandle crisis management and emergency response planningFoster a company culture focused on safety, quality service, and continuous improvementManage customer relations and address escalated customer service issuesDirect human resources activities, including recruitment, training, and performance managementStay informed of industry trends, advancements, and competitive landscapeRepresent the company in industry events, conferences, and public forumsLead initiatives to enhance sustainability and environmental responsibility in operationsMay be assigned other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United States10 years of experience in airport or aviation management, including leadership rolesStrong understanding of aviation regulations, operational safety, and security protocolsProven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and team leadershipIntermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessaryEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
