As a Dental Assistant, youll work in an environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first.Benefits:Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, and vision insuranceComplimentary dental services for you and your dependents (excluding lab fees)Life and disability insurance coverage401(K) retirement savings planSix paid holidays per year (after 90 days of employment) and two weeks of paid vacation (after one year of employment)Ongoing continuing education and limitless opportunities for professional growthResponsibilities:More about the roleGreet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, as well as sustain patient comfort and provide appropriate education throughout treatmentConduct a thorough review of the patients health history in order to provide quality careTake and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)Provide superior chairside assistance (i.e., four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice actUtilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keepingPrepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendationsManage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as neededPartner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflowQualifications:Minimum QualificationsIndiana Radiology License, or permit pendingWorking knowledge of dental procedures and terminologyExperience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsThe position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.Preferred Experience1+ years of experience in a dental settingDentrix or other dental software experienceDental assisting school certification
