Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector will work under supervision to perform various functions required to verify the condition of a wide variety of materials, components and assemblies. Work instructions will be both written and verbal, utilizing drawings, procedures and/or sketches.

Your ChallengeMake decisions involving initiative and judgment to perform a wide variety of tasks in support of the primary purpose, including, but not limited to;InspectVerify and document the condition of a wide variety of materials, components and assemblies, including identification, documentation, physical attributes, dimensional checks, etc. as required. Complete appropriate documentation.RecordComplete Rejection/Non-Conforming Q.C. forms when required, etc.ShipPerform and complete final tagging requirements and forms.Maintain inspection equipmentcage calibration, controls and records, etc.Plan and perform all required inspections and operations utilizing various equipment including, but not limited to:Mechanical EquipmentMicrometers, Verniers, Hardness Tester, etc.Electrical EquipmentPneumo-centric, Niton Alloy Identification Analyzer, Hardness Tester, etc.Maintain appropriate level of NDE qualificationOperate all material handling equipment within facility to position and transport work to or from work areas.What You Bring

3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a machine shop environmentAbility to read and understand blueprints/mechanical drawingsUnderstanding of geometric toleranceHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
