If you share in our vision, mission and values and have exceptional customer service and technical skills, we invite you to join those who are innovators in the healthcare field.The successful candidate will be licensed in the State of Georgia, be knowledgeable in the procedures and techniques of wound care and hyperbaric/diving medicine; will be procedure driven and experienced in utilizing advanced modalities.Full time Staff or Contract role availablePRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Innovative Healing Institute providers are responsible for the quality and quantity of services provided and accountable to the medical staff and the hospital administration for their activitiesProvides clinical direction, oversight, and physician leadership to the Program, including the evaluation and supervision of performance improvement activities for the Program and provides ongoing assessment and improvement in the quality of care and services.Conducts professional continuing education sessions and/or communicate new developments in the treatment and care of patients by the Program to Hospital's medical staff and clinical personnel.Reasonably participates and cooperates with IHS and Hospital in their investigation of complaints and/or claims related to the Program.Performs chart reviews as requested by IHS and/or hospital for peer review and/or quality review purposes and provides reports as necessary to appropriate committees.Is responsible for Medical Staff integration of the Program into the primary functions of the Hospital.Makes recommendations regarding IHS and/or Hospital's personnel and staffing of the Program.Responsible to ensure physician coverage for the hours of operation in the Wound Healing Institute and hyperbaric physician coverage.Devotes a minimum of ten (10) hours per month to the services required to promote and maintain the program.Physicians will participate with Hyperbaric and Wound Care Teams in infection control monitoring; and identification of concerns facilitating prevention and/or early intervention.Keeps current regarding advances in wound care, hyperbaric medicine and management by attending seminars and meetings as appropriate.Possesses knowledge of outpatient provider services.Possesses knowledge of EMR system(s) and possesses a clear understanding of coding and billing of Hyperbaric and Wound Care procedures.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy, trained and credentialed as Hyperbaric PhysicianAttended at least one problem wound management course, attaining 12 Category 1, CME,Attended a 40 hour Category 1 CME, ACGME UHMS approved Hyperbaric Medicine course. Approved hospital credentials, state issued license as physician, current BLS and ACLS.Must complete and pass required medical screening, background checking and drug test
