PACS Engineer 3 - Washington, DC

Job Description:Meet with the customer to understand the security needs and develop requirements and test plans.Identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against the defined requirements. Become an expert on the system and be able to communicate how the system enables the solution and where it's limitations lie.Work with internal teams to assess and resolve all privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for the systems.Write high quality documentation for system standards and operations. Work hand in hand with installation and administration teams to field the solutions.Continually re-evaluate the systems to ensure they are still effective and actively assess how new technology developments or changes in the environment may require new solutions.Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs and provide recommended improvements per industry best practicesWork schedule will be hybrid after the first 90 days, however candidate needs to be located in the DC area to support on-site workRequired:Applications selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is requiredBachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5years' of experience in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.3years' of experience with a Master's degree in Engineering.Ability to effectively communicate with various customers, vendors and peersAbility to obtain PACS (Physical Access Control Systems) Vendor Certification within 90 days of employmentDesired Experience:Experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS) is highly desired; Engineering, Design, or Hands-on:ACS - Access Control SystemsIDS - Intrusion Detection Systems / Perimeter IntrusionCCTV - Closed Circuit TelevisionCertifications in any of the major Electronic Security Systems is highly desired:Software House CCURE, Lenel, AMAG, Bosch, etc.Experience with IT systemsHighly qualified candidates should demonstrate:Working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, Software House, Bosch, Pelco, Genetec, HID, Axis, and Geutebruck.Familiarity with physical security designs, standard operating procedures, and security operationsExperience with Physical Security Systems - Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and CCTVPay range: $94,425 - $151,080We offer an excellent benefits package includingA competitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid-time offTuition reimbursement401k Retirement PlanMilitary Reserve pay offsetPaid maternity leaveAbilities:Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.Sitting for extended periods of time.Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.Identify and understand the speech of another person.#rg#dice#CJ
