Position Summary
:
Tends fryer and Filter system
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Include the following.Monitor belt speeds and fryer temperatures for optimum resultsAdjust equipment for efficient operations and for product qualitySet up of equipment for start upEnsure all safety devices are operable and being usedRecord oil tank levels dailyTest oil daily to verify within guidelinesWork with Quality Assurance in monitoring product specificationsVerify that adequate amounts of oil remain in fryer and day tank at all timesFill and empty fryer as neededRecord data for downtimeEnsure only authorized personnel enter fryer areaWorks with enthusiasm and sense of urgencyMaintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practicesMust wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as providedMust follow all plant food safety and person safety rules and proceduresPerforms other duties as required or directed.Must be 18yrs old to work for Monogram Foods.
Qualifications
Education, prior work experience and specialized skill and knowledge:
Ability to understand and communicate effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be Fryer Extinguisher Safety and Lockout certified.
Physical Environment/working conditions:
The employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel and reach; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; extreme heat; electrical powered equipment and explosives. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
