POSITION TITLE:

Accountant - External Financial Reporting

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will play a key role in the preparation and filing of all SEC documents, providing support in all areas of the external financial reporting. Additional core responsibilities include an active role in the month-end accounting close and review process, preparation of internal budgets and forecasts, performing technical accounting research and preparing periodic internal financial analysis reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES :Perform the preparation/review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-KCoordinate and partner with various finance and non-finance departments to obtain the information needed to prepare SEC filings, review information and prepare organized workpapersActively monitor communications from the FASB, SEC, etc. for changes in accounting and reporting requirementsAssist in technical accounting/reporting research process - assess the impact of and assist in the implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirementsParticipate in the preparation of Board of Director and Audit Committee financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basisActively support the Investor Relations process by assisting in the preparation/review of quarterly earnings releases and related prepared scripts, as well as the preparation/review of detailed internal management reports that support all external messagingMonitor peer SEC filings and other SEC filings to identify best practices for reporting and disclosureEnsure that the Company's disclosure controls and procedures documentation is updated on a quarterly basisActively participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closes, including the analysis of balance sheet and income statement account fluctuationsPrepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with AEO standardsActively partner with the FP&A team in preparation of internal budgets and forecasts, including the coordination of data from operational departmentsAssist in the analysis of performance to departmental budgets, including monthly review to the leadership teamAct as a quality control resource to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reports prior to distribution to business partnersCoordinate information requests for financial and SOX audits and reviews and act as liaison with auditorsComplete ad hoc financial projects as requestedPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting2 years of public accounting and/or corporate experience required, experience with SEC filings and/or external reporting preferredThorough knowledge of accounting practices and proceduresStrong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel and managementDemonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a teamAbility to work with and influence peers and senior managementAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reportingHigh degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products and Microsoft WindowsPAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:
