Job Description/Responsibilities:Operates forklift truck during the loading and unloading of lumber materialUtilize cutting tools and equipment such as power saw and circular sawEntails overseeing the sorting arrangement of lumber according to sizeGuide lumber through mill equipment, and planning mill for fine finishing and processing.Take inventory and maintain accurate record of material, process ordersMaximize production time and finish product yieldPerforms quality control on finished productsMaintains PPE and safety equipmentAbility to calculate tallies ( understand difference between LF & BF )Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during work operationsPhysical strength, dexterity and staminaManages routine maintenance and necessary repairs on equipmentAssures that stock is handled properly and rotated to minimize waste and damage.Forklift Certification requiredWorks with inside and outside sales staff as needed to provide sales support and/or informationRequirements/Qualifications:
High School diplomaSome experience in warehouse operations, distribution, etc. in building materials or related product areas
