ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER for our Hackensack location.
Key Responsibilities:Oversees P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the accountManages overall day to day operations of the accountConducts HR functions including hiring, progressive counseling, terminationsOversees scheduling, payroll, and team trainingMaintains excellent relationships with customers, guests and Client as well as other departmentsWorks with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top quality foodRolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary teamHires, trains, and develops all FOH restaurant staff in fine dining service standardsMaintains schedules, payroll, and other administrative support to maintain food and beverage cost controlsincluding inventory and parsOrganizes and conducts pre-shift and departmental meetings dailyMaintains communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are metCreates seating charts and station assignments daily, following up with support staff of daily expected businessMaintains all reservation systems and books to accommodate business demandsCreates side work assignments and ensures completion with wait staffMaintains the highest level of service to client/guest, ensuring their satisfactionMaintains cleanliness and presentation of dining room areaInvestigates and resolves all client/guest complaints in a timely, professional, diplomatic mannerExperience Includes:
5-8 years of upscale restaurant experience in a management positionFood Handler certifiedKnowledgeable with Labor Laws, Health Codes, Safety, Food Handling, and SanitationHigh volume production and catering experience is essentialPrevious experience managing a budgetMust be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
